Tasty Frozen Treats

The summer  months are just around the corner, and what better way to enjoy the warmer  weather  than enjoying some delicious, light, frozen Popsicle recipes with healthy Greek Yogurt.

Tip: If you don't have a Popsicle container you can get creative and use tequila glasses, an ice tray or small paper cups (Dixi cups). All the recipes make 5-6 small Popsicles.

Blueberry - Honey Pop

1 cup –  0% Plain Greek Yogurt
1/4 cup – Blueberries
1/4 cup – Chopped Strawberries
1 1/2 tbsp – Honey or Agave Nectar

1.   Chop your Strawberries into chunks.
2.  In a bowl (or blender if you’re in a hurry), whisk together yogurt, fruit, and honey.  If you use a blender, keep in mind that you want your fruit to be a little chunky.
3.  Once blended, distribute your mixture into your popsicle  container of choice, insert one stick in each, and freeze.
4.  When frozen, run warm water over container until popsicles are loose enough to remove.

Note: For a quick assembly, pour each layer on top of one another without any freeze time in between and then use a skewer or fork and gently swirl for a swirled Popsicle look.
