Fat Free Banana Bread

So I want to share with you my absolutely favorite thing to bake when I want to spoil my husband!  Banana -Oatmeal bread-  Its a pretty easy recipe to follow and the best part is that is fat free!! 


What  do you need..

1 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt, table
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup apple sauce
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg, beaten 
2 large egg whites, beaten
4 large bananas, ripe
1 cup old fashion oats, uncooked
1/2 cup non fat milk 

How to make it ...

1. Preheat oven 350 F. In a large bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Add Apple sauce, milk and eggs, mix thoroughly.

2. In a smaller bowl, smash 3 bananas with fork and add them to the mix. Slash the forth banana for the top of the bread.

3. Spray loaf pan with cooking spray. Pour batter into pan and bake until top of loaf is firm (40-55 min)  remove from oven and add the sliced banana on top of the bread and bake 10-15 more minutes until they get golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pan for 5 min. 

4. Flip out and cool on a wire rack for another 10 min.

You can also add  any kind of nuts, raisins, dates or chocolate chips, but its not going to be fat free anymore :)
