Get the look becomes a reality!

Hope all of you are having a great week! This post in particular is very especial for me, our dearest friends Paul and Regina just finished remodeling their first house in Carbondale, IL. As proud owners and after all the work they put into this remodel they can finally enjoy their amazing new library with family and friends.

Remember the Ralph Lauren get the look I did a few of months ago? Well, the design was based on what Regina had always dreamed of having in her home. A classic intellectual space where she and her family can enjoy reading and spending time together. With a lot of passion and  the help of the designer Kim Koehler-Church and the home's original builder, David Anderson, the library is the new master piece of their Casa de la Loma (house of the hill).

The charm and elegance of the room made its debut in the renowned magazine Life and Style on the Southern Illinois edition of Spring 2013.

Below are some great photos of their new library and the get the look design board so you can see how amazingly they translated the design and dreams into their new home.

The materials and the thoughtful details are perfectly balanced in this elegant space.
A great space to study and relax.

Be my Valentine? is not too late!

Happy Valentine's day!! Hope you're enjoying the day with all your love ones. For all of you who need a last minute gift or inspiration for this special day, I've got you cover with a few last-minute GREAT gift ideas.

If you are looking for a really romantic night in the comfort of you home, build an awesome fort/tent/teepee with blankets, pillows, rugs or whatever you can find in your house to cuddle up and drink, eat and play all night.

I absolutely love the sophistication and colors of this tent; if you think you can pull this off like a pro, here is the tutorial from Design Sponge, but even if it’s just pushing the kitchen chairs together and throwing a blanket over the top, it is fun, memorable, and very romantic.

If you're planning a home cooked dinner, this lovely prints made by Design is Yay! that you can download here, are perfect to decorate your table. You just need to print it form the website, follow the instructions and enjoy your tea or juts have a good time!

I found this amazing DIY gift from A Subtle Revelry and thought it is perfect for an afternoon tea with your friends. Is pretty simple to make and you can even download the tea label here. Personalize it, and it will be a Tea-riffic gift for someone special.

Not only do you not have to spend hours painting a portrait of your beloved, but you can also get a little something on the side. The Love Is Art kit allows you to capture your lovemaking on canvas. You will keep an abstract masterpiece and probably some compliments of you "artwork".

Take you on a cruise?

Luxury cruises are nothing new, but the Aqua Expeditions cruises through the Amazon river are anything but ordinary.

The experience on this boat is unique since it only accommodates a maximum of 24 cruise guest in 12 suites that feature panoramic views of the Peruvian Amazon River, imagine that!
The 130- foot long romantic luxury cruise (M/V Aqua) was designed by Peruvian architect Jordio Puig,  in 2007 and its amenities and service is comparable to a 5-star hotel.

Launching in 2014, the M/V Aqua Mekong will be a custom, architecturally-designed luxury cruise ship for 20 guest offering breathtaking river views of Vietnam and Cambodia.
